Faded Colors

This house was still furnished but the only recent visitors were the animals coming and going through open doors and wall holes. The children’s room featured here shows a still life of a crayon box complete with doodles and spider webs. The Blendwel brand crayons were sold from the 1940’s-1950’s. The “Binney & Smith” labeled Crayolas are most likely from the 60’s.

Custom designed frame. The base of the frame comes from a reclaimed 1940’s Russian ammo crate. Glass and photo are secured by metal channel.

Each wooden display is unique in its own way. They have been left in their current vintage state to reflect the subject matter. This includes varying degrees of weathering, slight chips, tarnish, and old nail holes.
